익숙한 풍경

경남 창원 마산에 위치한 티와이에이앤씨에서 박영희 작가의 개인전 "익숙한 풍경"을 개최합니다. 박영희 작가는 이번 전시에서 그동안 발표하지 않은 20여 점의 작품을 선보입니다.박영희 작가는 우리가 흔히 만나는 사소한 일상의 풍경들을 단순히 환경적 재현에 그치지 않고 일상적 이미지를 시각적으로 형상화하여 그가 경험한 감각들로 재구성합니다. 그의 작품 "익숙한 풍경"이라는 주제와는 상반되도록 <그린유토피아>, <곶자왈>과 같이 우리가 닿을 수 없는 저 너머의 자연, <기원>의 커다란 달을 바라보며 기도하는 여인의 모습과 같이 어딘지 모르게 익숙하지만 판타지적인 이미지를 완성하며, 일상과 비일상 속의 경계-어느 지점에서 판타지적 요소로 작가 개인의 창조성을 넘어 새로운 생명성을 창조해냅니다.이번 전시는 언제나 마주하는 풍경에서 익숙함과 특별함 사이를 넘나드는 경험을 할 수 있고, 작가가 제시한 특별한 풍경 속에서 더 나아가 상상의 나래를 마음껏 펼쳐보시길 기대합니다.

Familiar Landscapes

TY A&C in Masan, Changwon, Gyeongnam, presents a solo exhibition by artist Park Younghee titled “Familiar Landscapes.” In this show, Park unveils over 20 new works that have not been previously exhibited.

Park Younghee’s art goes beyond simply depicting everyday scenes; she visually reconstructs familiar images from daily life, infusing them with her own sensory experiences and emotions. Although the exhibition is titled “Familiar Landscapes,” her works often evoke a sense of fantasy—depicting unreachable natural utopias in pieces like <Green Utopia> and <Gotjawal>, or the mystical image of a woman praying to a large moon in <Origin>. These images are at once familiar and otherworldly, blurring the boundaries between the ordinary and the extraordinary.

Through this interplay, Park creates a space where fantasy and reality coexist, inviting viewers to experience both the comfort of the familiar and the excitement of the extraordinary. Her creative vision breathes new life into everyday landscapes, encouraging visitors to expand their imaginations within the special worlds she presents.
